Privacy

Your photos stay on your device.

ChronicleShot builds travel timelines from photo dates and location metadata available in your Apple Photos library. The app is designed around local processing rather than cloud photo analysis.

Privacy basics

ChronicleShot uses metadata to organise your own library.

The app needs photo access so it can read dates, available location data, and related metadata. You control access in iOS Settings and can remove it at any time.

Local chronology building

Timeline and map organisation happens on your device from metadata already available to Photos.

No photo uploads

ChronicleShot does not upload your images to external servers for analysis.

User-controlled exports

Exports are created when you choose to create them and shared through the standard Apple share sheet.
